As a college freshman, God displayed delight in my basic HTML skills to create a website, which had ~10K monthly unique visits (and the third most unique visits) from Saudi Arabia. This talk sheds light on the existence of many low-hanging problems in global mission fields, which await God-loving engineers for solutions. If we are overwhelmingly consumed by the desire to solve the most challenging problems alone, we miss out on the challenges that could be resolved by obvious solutions to ease real burdens. Even in our day jobs, we do not always work on algorithms guaranteeing real-time consistency across replicas, or machine learning models that perfect image understanding. Instead, we often find ourselves fixing simpler problems that make our and our customers’ lives easier. The global missions field is fraught with such simple problems and needs engineers to fix them.
